Semi-precious Sonora Sunset

This semi-precious stone is found under several names such as Sonora Sunrise, Sonora Sunset, Sonora Sunrose, or Cuprite Chrysocolla. It’s name comes from the Mexico state where it is mined.

The Sonora Sunrise stone shows a mix of blue green hues like the chrysocolla and red tones like the cuprite. The black comes from iron or Tenorite.

The colors remind of  desert landscapes when the sun rises or sets with hues which can be very vivid.

Because of the high presence of copper linked to cuprite and chrysocolla, it is an ideal healing stone.

It is said since 2011, it is more and more difficult to find it, especially with the good blue and red color qualities.

Comes with leather cord approximately 18-20″ long with engraved metal button clasp.
